What this site is, and what it is not

The Foxwatch Equine Nutrition Hub publishes information articles and interactive tools synthesizing peer-reviewed research on equine nutrition, with disease focus on PSSM and EPM. The site is informational. It is not a veterinary practice. It does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe.

This site is information only, not veterinary medical advice. All veterinary medical decisions, including diagnosis, treatment, and prescription, are the exclusive responsibility of a licensed veterinarian who has examined your horse. Consult your veterinarian.

Editorial team

Subject matter lead: Wendy Siddle Dailey, professional horsewoman with 40+ years of experience and the founder of Foxwatch Equine Services. Editorial direction belongs to Wendy.

Contributing editors: As of launch, none. Contributors will be added in the DACVN, PhD/Academic, or Industry-Certified credential tiers (see Sponsors and Credential Tiers) with bylines and credential disclosure on every contribution.

Technical and platform development: Nathaniel "Nate" Dailey. Nate builds and maintains the platform, the research workflow, and the interactive tools. Nate has no veterinary credentials and does not author medical content; his role is technical and architectural.

Source standards

Every article cites primary research from the Foxwatch research corpus. The corpus consists of 34 PRISMA-style systematic and mechanistic literature reviews covering PSSM, EPM, and the broader equine nutrition literature. Reviews are conducted against PubMed, CAB Abstracts, Web of Science, AAEP and ACVIM proceedings, and the equine nutrition textbook literature, then independently checked, citation-verified, and edited for plain-English readability before publication.

Citation density is the core editorial standard. Every claim of fact is footnoted to a specific lit review. Hover citations reveal the source. The full corpus is browsable at /brain.

Review cadence

Topic articles are dated with a "Last reviewed" line. Articles are reviewed for currency at minimum once per year, more often when new research warrants. Material changes prompt a date update; minor changes do not. The full revision history of any article is available on request.
